Imagine being an enslaved Black man that was told you were now free when slavery was supposedly abolished in 1865. In an effort to survive and seek true freedom, some of these fearless Black men traveled out West for work. They became Cowboys. This culture originated from the “Vaqueros” of Mexico, a Spanish word that translates to “Cowboy”. The Urban Cowboy Brand is inspired by these fearless men who braved an unknown land “America” to find a place where they could truly live free. Today, in this new frontier the Urban Cowboy journey still continues, seeking true “FREEDOM”
